The table is pretty similar to a blackjack table with the dealer standing opposite the players. On the table, in front of each player are three places marked out for chips:
• Ante – This is the amount of money that has to be placed on the table in order for the player to participate in the game.
• Play – If after looking at their hand the player chooses to continue, they place an amount of money equal to their ante in this space.
• Pair Plus Game – In this game the player is purely betting on getting a pair or better and it becomes irrelevant as to what the dealer holds. It you place money on the pair plus section and win big then you don’t need to worry about the dealer having a better hand as you will get paid regardless.
At this point it must be emphasised that the ante and the pair plus bet are placed before the cards are dealt and that the play bet is placed after the cards are dealt. In order for the player to win they must beat the dealer’s hand. If the dealer holds no cards at the level of queen or higher, the dealer has not qualified to play and all players receive double their ante and keep their play bet. If the dealer holds a queen or higher and the player has a better hand, they get paid according to how rare the hand they hold is.
The hierarchy of hands is slightly different from regular poker owing to the changing odds when only three cards are dealt. In three card poker three of a kind replaces four of a kind and a straight beats a flush. The odds of hitting a pair or higher run at about twenty five percent. The payout for the hands increases incrementally, with a straight flush paying out at forty to one. If the player has both the play bet and the pair plus bet they get paid out twice. This double payout makes three card poker an incredibly lucrative game and certainly worth trying your luck with.
It is worth bearing in mind that there are often local bonuses and smaller rules with regards to payout depending on where you are playing. Often these are to the benefit of the player so always ask if there are any deviations to the regular game when you sit down at the table.

Traffic
Cake Poker is an independent poker room and they average around 1700 – 6000+ online players during peak hours. I have been playing mobile poker for just over 2 years now and find it the easiest form of poker. I play on Aces Royal which is a reputable company and it was also the first to offer mobile poker for real money although there are many other mobile poker sites available.
I like Aces Royal mainly because there are players from the UK. So if you are playing at 3am on a Saturday/Sunday morning, you are likely to come across some loose cannons, making terrible bluffs or just going all in every hand. You will be amazed how often this happens. Drunk people probably in pubs or clubs deciding they want to play a quick hand. Peoples battery could also be running out so this would likely make the player play more hands pre-flop.
On the smaller stakes 20/40 p the minimum buy in is £10, which is only 25 big blinds, which isnt really enough for much play, and you will often get people that omly have £10 in their account, and they might be down to £9.60 on the table, desperatly trying to get back up to £10 so that they can leave an re enter at a later stage, because you obviously cannot sit down with £9.60. So you might get players playin a bit desperate and will make for some easy pickings….
Aces Royal only offers 6 player Cash games 20/40p 50/£1 £1/2 and £2/4.
I tend to mainly play 50/£1 in the day time and £1/2 at night to see if i can catch any generous people…
Last month I made £2900 from Aces Royal, most of the money being made from, 1 – 5 am friday and sat morning on the £1/£2 tables.
