What exactly does this message mean?
Let’s start with the most obvious question up front “Will I lose the money in my Aces Royal poker accoun?”. Although this question has been answered within the article it is important to point out that everybodies funds look to be safe. Without being privy to the finer terms of everything it looks as though everything is being temporarily frozen in an attempt to sell the company.
If Aces Royal were to be sold, it’s likely that the accounts will be transferred as part of this deal and your money will be transferred to the new service. Otherwise your funds will probably be released and the company will disassemble.
So now we’ve seen what might happen to Aces Royal it’s time to turn to more personal issues such as where is the best place to move onto during this period. Obviously there are hundreds of online poker rooms but some of us have become akin to mobile poker so we must take the search elsewhere.
The cold hard truthof the matter is that in comparison to the desktop world there are relatively few options for mobile poker players at the moment. One of the biggest poker names entering this industry right now is Cake Poker with their mobile poker offering. Their offering however is only available to people using phones based on Windows 5 and above which unfortunatley has locked even ourselves out for the moment.
I wish that there were a one stop solution I could offer you but when you truly play ahead of the curve with modern technology you can sometimes find yourself at a bit of a loss when a comapny suddenly drops or drasticly alters their servies. At least initially, here at Mobile Poker Exposed, we are moving a lot of our play back to the online tables whilst we research more possibilities and eagerly await news from Aces Royal.
Here’s How You Can Help…
Although we try to be the all-seeing eye in the mobile poker world perhaps you have come accross something that we have missed whilst on a late night session. Leave us a comment below telling us where you are moving your play whilst Aces Royal is down and you might even get a mention in our next article.
Until then, the Hunt is On…

Deciding to play poker on your mobile phone is quite possibly one of the best decisions you can make if you do it right. The ease of earning consistent money typically increase by a lot with the right mindset. In the course of this article you will acquire a more complete idea of the major differences and advantages to making the switch as well as a few ideas on where to go from here.
What’s the Big Deal with Mobile Poker Anyhow?
One of the main differences you will find when you make the switch to mobile poker is that people generally play a lot looser than they do online. The reason for this is that they are often out and about or only half paying attention whilst on the mobile as opposed to sitting at a PC with intense focus possibly across several tables. As you will probably gather from what I’ve said already you don’t want to fall into the same trap that they are. You, the Mobile poker expert will want to play cell phone poker with focus and not half-hearted as you chat with a friend at a bar.
What is the Best Mobile Poker Room?
There are a variety of poker rooms out there and you will obviously have to find one that is available to your area and on your model of phone. The best ones that I have personally played so far has been Aces Royal which can be played globally though you may need to use wireless in some areas.
The Aces Royal poker room is based the A3 platform which is the fastest gaming platform in the world, according to executives from a major mobile phone manufacturer. The official word from their site says this about their poker room: “Cecure Gaming’s multiplayer games are so fast, a player can make a bet in London, and the bet will appear on a phone in New Zealand faster than a professional footballer’s penalty kick could hit the back of the net.”
Winning on Mobile Poker Rooms
Usually you will find that if you play late in the evening and into the night you are going to come across the weekend crowd. This is true with all poker but is even more pronounced on mobile poker games. You can steal a lot of pots at this time as there aree some loose cannons, making terrible bluffs and some who just go all in for every hand all in every hand.
Only play mobile poker at a time that you would usually play online poker rooms. If you are surrounded by distractions or are out having a good time you will be subject to the same factors that make winning at these tables so easy.
It’s Time to Get Started…
This really is the tip of the iceberg on playing mobile poker, the possibilities are nearly endless. There are numerous websites that review the various rooms available and give in depth advice on the the latest poker tricks and tips.
You will even find a few websites that provide live videos of poker sessions so you can literally watch over the shoulder of full time poker players and hear see how they would play as they describe what is going through their mind. I recommend following at least a couple these to stay up to date on the latest developments. Just keep in mind there is no substitute for real live experience so the next step is to start winning at one of the various mobile poker rooms!
What else can I say mate? If you want to look slick when playing poker or have a tendency to fidget whilst playing poker then Chips Tricks are your saviour. Learn these and the women will be falling at your feet as men shoot you high fives across town. Well… probably not, but it does look cool! Here’s a quick video we threw together to get you started.
MobileInsider performing a Chip Twirl – Chip Trick Tutorial
Previously we’ve mentioned on the site that we were planning on releasing a poker diary of our war stories. We decided that we were going to go one better and provide you with a full streaming video of Mobile Insider playing poker and commentating on his thoughts as he played.
Bare in mind that this is the very first video we have created of this sort and we are personally getting used to these ourselves so if the quality is a little off or there is something else that bothers you then please do leave a comment and we will do our best. These videos are for your benefit so we want to ensure that you are getting the most out of them.
With that in mind, here is our very first video:
Good Stuff hey? We like it, but as I mentioned we are open to suggestions.
I have one last question to propose to you:
If we were to release a product containing poker hints, tips and anaylsis and probably some great video analysis what exactly would you be interested in finding out from us. What are the main things that would like to know. What secrets would you consider ‘priceless’? You can either leave a comment below or email us here.
You’re new to the game and spoilt for choice. You know the basic rules but don’t know where to start your voyage. To start off I would choose a poker site with little traffic such as Cake Poker, Interpoker, or Fatbet,. Read reviews online and find yourself one that would best suit your needs. Sites with lots of players such as Pokerstars tend to be tougher competition.
So once you have found your site and you’ve got an account, now you need to set up a rake back account so you can get some money back each month, go to http://www.raketherake.com for an account.
I would start off on the micro cash games 00.1 /00.2 00.5/ 0.10. Most importantly, you need to have good bankroll management, learning the ropes can be expensive, and you might think you can jump up a few levels a bit to quickly. I would also recommend playing a few sit n go’s 6 or 9 player, again small stakes $1 or $2 etc. Play a few 1 on 1s or heads up too, as it is a completely different game and will give you good practice for when you get heads up in a 6 or 9 player sit n go.
Many sites offer guaranteed tournaments with a certain amount in the prize pool, some very cheap buy ins, again $1 or $2, you should play at least a couple of these a month, to get used to a large field. They can be great value for money, there are also many freerolls available on many sites.
Once you have found your favorite style of game you can concentrate on that but not forgetting to play other styles occasionally to keep on top of your game.
Buy books, watch poker on TV, visit www.PokerTube.com, do all you can to get information about the game, you can never stop learning. Also have a look for your nearest casino/cardroom and see how you play live. Some people play strictly only live poker, and some online professionals have never even played in a live tournament!
There is only so much you can learn by reading peoples books and watching poker on the TV. The rest you must discover for yourself, you are your own teacher and student.
I keep notes on every session I have; starting stack, buy in, hours played, total profit, profit per hour, and notes on people in key hands. It seems a bit of a task sometimes but its definitely worth it,there are sometimes where I’d be having a rough day and I would read through my notes and see that I’ve played well all month. I’ve been calling big bluffs, re-raising super aggressive players with 6 high and getting paid, and it would make me feel better, give me more confidence just reading it.
I have a list of all players that I like to see at the table. Easy money list and players I’m not so keen on seeing for whatever reason. If you feel like you are outclassed at a table you should simply leave, forget the Ego and look after your wallet, what are you here for? To feel manly or to make money? I’d rather feel like a man off the tables with their money, where that whole society thing is…
You should always anazlyze every session, dont just make notes for the sake of it. You have to actually digest the information, did I play that hand badly? Did I Price him in for his flush draw? Why is he calling every preflop raise? What cards does he play under the gun? Is he really attached to suited connectors? Poker is a game of questions, questions get information, and more information wins more money, you should always be making notes or mental notes on peoples play. Professional poker player, Gus Hansen, takes his hand held voice recorder to every live session, and makes notes on people in Danish, I love this idea.
Rakeback is when a site gives you a certain percentage of your rake back to you, usually monthly. This is a great way to make some extra money, there are different sites offering different deals and methods, I use cake poker which gives you 33% rakeback a month and has the best method of rake back, which means everyone in the pot will get the rake divided between them every hand, where as other sites it will only count your rake in a pot.
E.g dealt method= 6 players to a table you are big blind and fold for £1 everyone else is in the pot, the pot goes to £100 thats £5 divided by 6 players, which means everybody raked 83p.
Contributed method= same situation you fold for £1 pot goes to £100 but only 2 players in the pot, you will only get raked for the money you put in the pot, which is £1and 5% of that is 5p so you only raked 5p that hand, even though the pot was £100 the 2 players put £50 in each so 5% of that means they payed £2.50 rake each, this system is only good for loose aggresive players, the other system is obviously better for all other types of players.
I tend to play 4 x 50/1 or 3 x 1/2 tables for a bit of variance 6-10 hours a day to realistically earn $2000-$3000 a month, you actually get rakeback pros, who just play to live off their rake, its easier said than done though, you have to ideally play short handed to generate more rake, which means you are in the blinds a lot, and if you play to tight you will find yourself getting chipped away on all tables.
If you play to many tables, you will miss crucial information in key hands, I personally don’t feel very comfortable playing more that 4 tables at once. It is important that you play at a comfortable level.
If you are a player that goes on tilt easily, This is a bad idea, it only takes 1 hand on 1 table and it can get u playing badly on all other tables at once, very costly. If i get a sick beat and feel myself starting to want to loosen up, I jus sit out, make a coffee, do some press ups and get some air, You don’t want to be getting into big pots without good reason, you are playing to get the rake back and not to hope the other person will fold. Generally tight ABC poker works however this only works for so long, because you will come across other players who will be multi-tabling and will see that you are also, and generally mutli-tablers play tight , so if you raise occasionaly these people will probably fold hands that would otherwise call with, so it is important to play tight, but it is also important to ,mix your play up occasionally I.E raise with suited connectors from late position, re raise the multi-tabler occaisionaly, check your big hand on the button.
Always make notes on people, notes are priceless, I always make notes on who is multi-tabling, playing tight, loose etc you don’t want to write to detailed, just their general playing style is useful.
I use www.raketherake.com for my rake back deal, check it out and start getting some money back.
I have been playing mobile poker for just over 2 years now and find it the easiest form of poker. I play on Aces Royal which is a reputable company and it was also the first to offer mobile poker for real money although there are many other mobile poker sites available.
I like Aces Royal mainly because there are players from the UK. So if you are playing at 3am on a Saturday/Sunday morning, you are likely to come across some loose cannons, making terrible bluffs or just going all in every hand. You will be amazed how often this happens. Drunk people probably in pubs or clubs deciding they want to play a quick hand. Peoples battery could also be running out so this would likely make the player play more hands pre-flop.
On the smaller stakes 20/40 p the minimum buy in is £10, which is only 25 big blinds, which isnt really enough for much play, and you will often get people that omly have £10 in their account, and they might be down to £9.60 on the table, desperatly trying to get back up to £10 so that they can leave an re enter at a later stage, because you obviously cannot sit down with £9.60. So you might get players playin a bit desperate and will make for some easy pickings….
Aces Royal only offers 6 player Cash games 20/40p 50/£1 £1/2 and £2/4.
I tend to mainly play 50/£1 in the day time and £1/2 at night to see if i can catch any generous people…
Last month I made £2900 from Aces Royal, most of the money being made from, 1 – 5 am friday and sat morning on the £1/£2 tables.
It is a bit different to online poker on any main sites, I find myself having to to tighten up a lot when I switch to online poker as people there are generally better.
I would defiantly recommend getting a mobile poker account and trying it out, but dont make the mistake of playing it when your out drinking! Or you will be contributing to my life to…
